One of the biggest challenges your IT department faces today is keeping up with and supporting the variety of platforms that their customers are using. To solve this challenge a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) will enable processes to communicate via loosely coupled software interfaces. Service Oriented Architecture has provided solutions for cloud integration, mobile integration, the Internet of Things, application integration, and B2B.

  1. Cloud Integration
It’s important to integrate cloud applications with on-site applications. Cloud applications and business applications each have their own integration requirements and the APIs often do not talk well to each other. Integrating becomes even more difficult when dealing with different clouds as each cloud may have different API. Unless there is a way to bridge the gap, integrating this data can be a real cloud DevOps nightmare.

Oracle simplifies cloud integration by providing a unified and comprehensive solution to integrate disparate cloud and on-premise applications. Oracle cloud integration leverages Oracle Cloud services as well as components from Oracle’s SOA, BPM, and data integration technologies.

  2. Mobile Integration
Today there are a plethora of devices that allow users to access applications. The problem comes in the form of the ability to service these various platforms in a seamless manner. To a user, it shouldn’t matter what device or whether they use windows, iOS, android, or another operating systems or browsers, they should still have the same experience. The difficulty lies in the fact that each platform may require a specialized API in order to work correctly and communicate properly and SOA can bridge the gap.  All SOA principles now apply here including loose coupling, compositions, facades and the flexibility of an SOA landscape makes it possible to implement new opportunities very quickly.
  3. The Internet of Things
The increasing usage of smart embedded devices – the Internet of Things – requires middleware that is capable of handling integration between the device and the software which is attempting to utilize it. The discovery of services and on-demand provisioning of this large number of networked and resource-limited devices require the right infrastructure to handle the resulting network traffic. A SOA-based approach enables standards based implementation using loosely coupled services and interfaces.
  4. Application Integration
APIs are not always standardized across applications. By enabling developers to create standard interfaces between the applications and services, Oracle SOA streamlines application integration. Developers can create an agile and reusable connectivity layer, thus reducing time it takes to launch the product while still reducing costs. This provides new enterprise solutions, regardless of whether the applications are based in the cloud or in on-premise servers.
  5. Business-To-Business Integration
As businesses work together to form partnerships, whether it is retail with wholesalers, agents with clients, third-party vendors with corporations, or any other business transaction, there is a need for the flow of data and communication. Integration between corporations and other entities require specialized technology when it comes to integrating software, hardware, and applications. There is a need for software to be able to communicate effortlessly in the circumstances. In this case, Oracle’s B2B SOA creates a unified platform for businesses that provides instance tracking, auditing, control, and security.

The Solution to Integration
Oracle SOA was developed to simplify IT by unifying the disparate requirements of mobile, cloud, and IoT integration into one unified and standards-based platform.  Zensar works with clients across a range of industry verticals as well as sizes, and as a result of this experience gained over the years, has evolved a methodology for the implementation of SOA.  As an Oracle partner, we understand the complexity of your environments and that no two businesses are alike. That’s why we’re happy to provide a free assessment of your Oracle environment. Just give us a call and we’ll show you how Zensar can help you use SOA to seamlessly integrate your solutions together so that your business runs smoothly.
