Industry First: Intelisys Develops New Senior Role in Supplier Sales

Petaluma, CA (August 24, 2015) – Intelisys Communications, Inc., the nation’s leading Technology Services Distributor, announced today that Mike McKenney has been selected to spearhead the newly developed role of Vice President, Supplier Sales. VP, Supplier Sales, another channel first for Intelisys, was born out of the recognition that Intelisys’ industry brand as “Home of the Top Performer” can and should extend across all of its partnerships – Supplier Partners and Sales Partners alike.

“With all the valuable talent and resources Intelisys brings to bear, our Supplier Partners are looking to engage our top performing sales community in creative and groundbreaking ways,” said McKenney. “Supplier Sales was created to drive maximum and measurable incremental revenue from our Supplier relationships, in the relentless pursuit of Intelisys achieving ‘Top Partner’ status with every Supplier Partner in our portfolio.”

Vice President, Supplier Sales, will create original revenue driving programs for new and existing Suppliers in the Intelisys portfolio. In this position, McKenney will work closely with the Intelisys leadership team to develop and implement programs to drive and grow revenue. He will work side-by-side with the existing Intelisys Supplier Management Team to maintain an exemplary experience for all Partners within the Intelisys community.

McKenney came to Intelisys in July 2004 as SWAT Sales Manager and, later, Director, Partner Sales. In 2009, he was promoted to Vice President, Partner Sales, a role in which he has since been responsible for all aspects of sales and sales management for Intelisys’ Partner Sales function, most recently for Intelisys’ West Region. With the development of Mike’s new position, Intelisys cements its leadership, reinvestment in the channel, and confidence in the future of the
telco and IT industries.

Prior to joining Intelisys, McKenney was Intelisys’ Channel Manager at Cable & Wireless, and is credited for guiding Intelisys to become Cable & Wireless’s largest Master Agency partner. A talented salesperson, he was the first direct sales representative in Cable & Wireless company history to win the Annual National Sales Contest for eight consecutive years.
