Apple and Amazon apparently think they are smarter that the US Supreme Court which has ruled that owners of products cannot be restricted from selling those products by the brand holder. Apple, with the help of Amazon, is trying to sidestep that decision by removing the largest resale marketplace in the world as an option for owners to resell their products.
If all resale marketplace platforms such as Amazon lock out the owners of Apple, it will kill the resale value of their products. And, if the resale value is killed, owners will not be able use the money they receive from resale, towards the purchase of new products. Apple is hurting themselves.
That leaves the owner of Apple products one option when they are through using it. Dump it in a landfill. Very GREEN of APPLE and AMAZON!!!
Maybe it is time to buy an Android or Windows phone, unless those manufacturers make the same stupid mistake as Apple and Amazon.
