AUSTIN, TX – OnRamp a data center service provider with facilities in Austin, TX, and Raleigh, NC, has announced that the company’s VP of Operations, Shana Ravnsborg, will participate on a panel discussion at the AFCOM North Carolina meeting on September 10th from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Marriott Research Triangle Park. Ravnsborg will discuss OnRamp’s recent expansion in Raleigh as part of broader discussion on the recent proliferation of IT Hosting companies in what was previously considered a condensed market.
In February of this year, OnRamp announced the opening of a data center in Raleigh, NC. Located in the heart of Research Triangle Park, OnRamp’s Raleigh data center is a 12,000 square foot, SSAE 16 SOC I Type II, HIPAA and PCI facility featuring the highest levels of security, redundancy, reliability and infrastructure. The facility operates at high levels of redundancy with OnRamp’s Redundant Isolated Path Power Architecture in place to deliver true 2N power to customers, from the utility to the rack.
“The expansion to Raleigh has enabled OnRamp to meet the growing demand for our services, which include high density colocation, cloud computing, high security hosting and disaster recovery services,” said Ravnsborg. “With two locations, each on a separate power grid, we can ensure both geographic and power grid diversity for all OnRamp customers between the Texas and North Carolina locations.”
In addition to participating on the panel discussion at the AFCOM North Carolina meeting, Ravnsborg will give a 15-minute presentation about OnRamp’s data center services. Ravnsborg will detail what differentiates OnRamp from other data centers by outlining OnRamp’s high security hosting offerings for HIPAA and PCI customers as well as the company’s unique ability to blend colocation with managed hosting services for customers in need of hybrid hosting solutions.
