Cloud and mobility on the hot topics list October 2-5 in Austin, Texas
NORWALK, Conn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TMC announced that David Tucker, vice president and general manager of Cisco’s Small Business Business Unit (SBBU), will deliver the afternoon keynote address at ITEXPO Austin on Wednesday, October 3, at 4 p.m. CDT. ITEXPO, the world’s largest and best-attended communications and technology trade show, is being held October 2-5 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas.
“The proliferation of mobile devices and increased adoption of cloud applications and services are key trends currently shaping the small- and mid-size market,” said Tucker. “These new technologies and services allow businesses to quickly adjust and streamline their business practices and processes. As Vice President and General Manager for Cisco’s SBBU, Tucker is responsible for maximizing profitable growth in the small business switching, routing, storage and WLAN markets. Under his leadership, Tucker’s organization drives a global product portfolio and delivers a unique go-to-market strategy that meets the networking needs of the small business customer. As part of this effort, Tucker manages the innovation and expansion of product solutions, which includes the integration of small business best practices and products with Cisco’s existing products.
Previously, Tucker served as VP of the Connected Office Business Organization (COBO) for Linksys, where he led teams to develop and market voice and data products targeting the small- and mid-size marketplace. Tucker joined Cisco in 1998 as part of the Selsius Systems acquisition. As co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Selsius Systems, he helped to pioneer the consolidation of voice and data networks.
Tucker holds a B.B.A. and M.B.A. degrees in Marketing from Texas A&M University.
